mythos amerika

Mythos Amerika is an experimental pop-project based in Cologne. He sings, shouts, and plays a number of instruments simultaneously using his hands, feet, limbs, and various electronic contraptions. His music is both emotionally involving and clinically aloof. His lyrics comment on common aspects of everyday life as well as bizarre phenomena of twenty-first century (cyber-)culture. He approaches the myths underlying contemporary culture with a style both playful and serious, respectful and iconoclastic. As a matter of principle, he’d like to take a stand, but refuses to choose sides.
