»Something's there. An opaqueness, on top of which you can see a reflection. A reflection, not only of the self but of its surface. A bitter (or greedy) something, the outside of a hidden inside, a possession. Is it precious? Is it lame? It doesn't tell, nor does it teach. And I will break it for the sake of my own harmony.«
Söhnlein Brilliant, founded in 2015, is a project from the musicians and art students Marie-Claire Delarber and Benjamin Adams.
Söhnlein Brilliant deals with analogue sound synthesis and pop cultural movements between contemporary functioning and mindsets. Their point of concentration is to create polyphonies, whose roots can be found both in modern and classical music. The lyrics are debris of an emotional superstructure which emerges out of improvisation.
